I was born and raised in Iran, a land where my ancestors worshipped fire, and it was that fire that was used to make the early glass and clay utensils. That fire was embedded in my blood, and I think that’s why later, when I wanted to add a new dimension to my art, I chose clay. And now, having moved on from glass art, I try to keep the warmth and the color of fire going on through my paintings as well. My designs and choice of color are inspired to some extent from nature but mostly from my rich heritage, as they are visible in all of my works.
