Artist Statement
Shows & Events

Most of my work is based on the assumption of an inner knowledge – an unconscious psyche that links physical events with psychological conditions.  My goal is to bring physical meaning to events and emotions that seem accidental but, through my art, become substantive. I begin with my own spontaneous imagery and use my hands to transmit these thoughts and feelings into sculpture.
My work is a collection of intangible dreams and fantasies made into a hard and durable material – bronze.  I make my dreams become reality and attempt to represent the past, present and future of my most primitive instincts.  By doing so I bring to the rest of the world what I feel to be the very essence of my mortal soul.
My vision is to create art that exists in a place halfway between the real world in which we live and the dream world of which we are only partially aware.  The hope is that I blur the line that divides the two worlds, and, by doing so, touch the subconscious of every one looking at my art.
