“My ceramic works are primarily functional pieces. I like the idea that a person might start their day using a cup or a bowl that I might have made, and my hope is that the use of my handmade items might add something positive in that person's day. It is the same for my jewelry. I want the person wearing it to feel good. My inspiration, and the reason I mak jewelry is to work with the stones. I have always been attracted to beautiful stones amd have collected rocks since I was a child. I love to find unusual stones and incorporate them into my designs s;pmg with long-time favorites like turquoise. I am always amazed at the never-ending beauty that the earth has to offer us and I emjoy working with her gifts in the form of the clays, glazes, stones and metals that I use to create my art.”
