“My pottery is mostly functional because I like the idea of using art in everyday life.”
Art has been my interest for as far back as I can remember. I have experimented in many media and have come to find that I enjoy working in 3-Dimensional the best. I have experience as a glass blower, where as a member of a co-operative glass studio, I sold my work in galleries and craft fairs. I worked in two ceramic factories doing slip casting of low fire ware. In the secod, I designed as well as managed production fo the products. I also supervised a ceramic workshop for retarded adults. In the past, most of my own work in ceramics was in hand building. For the last few years, I have been focusing on throwing on the wheel. I am currently working in high fire stoneware and porcelain. I also enjoy making jewelry. My most recent work is original designs in sterling silver and semi-precious stones. |
